One of the most important features of New-Line radiators is their duration over time. This has been achieved by taking care of two fundamental aspects:

• The selection of materials: as many as three different aluminium alloys are used to ensure resistance of the product to high operating temperatures.
• Radiator assembly: is via hand welding, piece by piece, by highly specialised personnel. New-Line products are manufactured in Italy.

These qualities allow the kart driver to continue using New-Line radiators for many years. However, it must be emphasized that the product ensures its maximum cooling effectiveness for the first 2/3 years.
Therefore, we invite you to distrust track comparisons with cheap radiators, which are of a lesser quality, but being new can provide similar performance to your outdated New-Line radiator.
A proper comparison can be made between new radiators (of the same age) under the same operating conditions, to ensure a real comparison.
Why does it make no sense to compare a used radiator, even if it is a quality radiator, with a cheap but new economic radiator? For many reasons that have nothing to do with the actual cooling performance of a quality radiator.
There are, in fact, different factors that can penalise the efficiency of a used radiator:

• • The Limestone layer that forms water inside the radiator has a negative effect because it forms a barrier between the liquid and the aluminium which does not allow direct heat exchange between the liquid and aluminium. It is therefore advisable to use distilled water and always get rid of it after use. It is also possible to use cleaning products for removing lime scale.

• • For karts with front braking systems, the powder of the brake caliper pads is bad for the radiator, because it gets deposited on the fins of the radiating mass, thereby decreasing the heat exchange and thus the cooling efficiency.

• • When rubber shavings and debris impact against the radiator they often end up tilting the cooling fins, decreasing their functionality. There is a specific brush used to bring them back to their original location.

• • Sand, Small stones, pieces of rubber and various debris that plug the cracks of the radiator core are definitely bad for the radiator’s operation. We recommend always blowing compressed air through it and cleaning the radiator core after each use.
